I found a photo editor on my iPad and have been experimenting with it. I thought that this was an interesting effect. The original drawing showed all the pansies painted violet.
This is a sample of the vegetation found around our campsite at Ft.Stevens. I was able to identify some of it, Oregon salal, red huckleberry, and sword fern.
We camped at Belknap Hot Springs in August. It is in a beautiful setting on the McKenzie River. What we most enjoyed were the two swimming pools filled with hot water. So relaxing!
We spent some of our time playing crazy eights and Clue.
We had this great breakfast of ham, eggs, biscuits, gravy, muffins, homemade jam, and fruit at the Didlakes in Hoodsport. My sketch is my memory of the occasion.
The view from the Didlake's back deck and our trailers parked in their driveway. There were four rvs and Russ provided each of us with electrical hookups.
Another gourd. It is difficult to clean out the inside of a gourd. Once you finally manage to get a hole cut somewhat evenly, you have lots of seeds and a tough membrane to scrape out.
I used to carve gourds and have several of them sitting around getting dusty. I bought all kinds of supplies for gourd crafting, ink dyes, burning pens, Dremel to carve with, and dye applicators. I even grew a bumper crop of gourds one summer and still have lots of dried gourds.
Preserving good memories of our trip to Ashland in June.
These are watercolors that I did several years ago. The window in the background is a reflection off of the glass of the frame. Interesting effect.
Here is a work in progress. This is a pencil sketch that has been partially inked over. The subject is of the coffees and fruit that les compagnons ordered at Kennedy School last Friday. The next step is to watercolor it. I am working from a digital photo and that has been very helpful for getting the perspective a little more accurately.
This is a sketch that I did of a camellia that I picked from a bush in the front yard. There are so many petals on a camellia that I got lost after awhile and felt that I should number them. I like the vase. It's one that my sister got for me in Cannon Beach.
